With family roots in Colombia, Katherine Pineda—known professionally as DJ SUAR3Z—grew up in a musically rich household where no genre was off limits. Surrounded by rhythm, melody, and culture from a young age, music quickly became both her passion and her language.
Before stepping behind the decks, Katherine began her musical journey as a vocalist, performing jazz and soul across Vancouver Island. That foundation in live performance and musical storytelling naturally evolved into her work as a DJ—where she blends genres seamlessly and creates sets that feel like a journey from country to country, all without leaving the dance floor.
